Amishhosting

Postby Sandy47 » Sun Jul 26, 2009 2:22 am

Hello, my name is Sandy. For those who don't know me, I am not now, nor have I ever been, a female. As a long standing Amishhosting customer, I would like to know what the future at Arbor holds for us amidst all the Domania hoopla. It's not comfy feeling as if one is on the outside and not tall enough to see the parade...

Any hints? :?

Sandy,

I honestly don't know how many AmishHosting customers we inherited. As I mentioned in my original welcome post, Bert has not given us any customer data yet (but I hope we'll get it soon!), so I don't know how many customers we have of each type of plan.

I believe AmishHosting the wesite is gone (that was not part of the transfer to us - I think Bert let that domain expire and chose not to keep it), but any existing paying customers on the capricorn server will be taken care of under the Arbor name.

Again, just to be sure everyone understands - rest assured that we will honor all existing payments people have already made for their current hosting period.

In order to bring the service level of Domania/Amish up to par with the rest of Arbor's services, it is possible that rates may change for future periods, but no decision had been made as of yet. Right now, we're still just trying to figure everything out and will leave everything as is. If there are any changes, they will posted to this forum well in advance.

Sandy, if there is a specific question you have about Amish Hosting, such as concern for a specific feature, don't hesitate to reply and ask for clarification. If you have a personal account-specific question, please email us privately at support@arborhosting.com

Thanks Steve. Nothing specific, I was just a little concerned that nobody had addressed themselves to us. Who knows? Maybe I'm the last of the Amish.

I thought I had posted in the first thread/first forum.. but it must not have "taken". I, too, am an amish hosting customer. I really hope things don't change too much... I hate moving :D

Hopefully this "move" goes as easily and as painless as our move from amish to zbox. As a domain holder it makes me doubly worried.. I don't want to lose what i had.. but I don't use much: mainly I use my space as a picture repository and I love having a zillion email boxes (most stuff goes to throw away account... but my family each has a name/specific things have a name).

I also wish we would have been told a bit more about what was going on..

MistyMage,

We only acquired the sites hosted on the "capricorn" server. We did not acquire zbox -- if your site is hosted by zbox, it is still with zbox now. If you provide me with your domain name, I can tell you if it's now with us or zbox. Or, another way to tell is whether your site went down around July 15-17 and came back up on the 18th. If it was up the whole time, your site is not hosted on the capricorn server.

mistymage.com is on capricorn and is a part of amish hosting. I went down those few days when the server wasn't paid for. I said the move to zbox because basically since we paid Bert for a year.. we were a part of zbox.. even if only as the apparent red headed step-child.

I just realized that one of my domains is still registered with amish hosting and want to transfer it. I need to access my admin so I can change my email addy (that outfit is gone too) in order to do the thing with network solutions. The website is obviously down, so access seems to be a little difficult. Can you help?
The email associated with that site is rfitz@idsonline.com, but I have to have my current one as admin.
If you can help or redirect me, it would be appreciated. Otherwise I will have to wait two years for the registration to expire and re-purchase my domain.

rfitz42,

Please email support@arborhosting.com directly with the domain names in question, and if they are with us, I'll help you locate them.

Thanks,
Steve
